Community Project RFP 2025-2026

Is your organization looking for committed partners, dedicated volunteers, and funding to fuel a year-long project? JLS is ready to team up with you.

In the past, this Request for Proposal (RFP) has sought short-term ‘Done In A Day’ projects. Our focus has shifted, and JLS is now seeking longer-term proposals in accordance with the JLS’ 2024-2027 Strategic Plan. For the 2025-26 Request for Proposal (RFP) Grant Application, the JLS is continuing to seek longer-term proposals, specifically projects that have a minimum of a one-year, or 12-month term. Project term will be June 1, 2026 through May 31, 2027. While not guaranteed, there could be consideration for continuation beyond one year if agreed upon by both parties (JLS and Agency). Organizations would be required to apply annually.

Selected projects will have dedicated support and pull-through by the JLS Community Projects Committee. In addition to a dedicated committee and JLS volunteers, limited funds are available. Total annual funding available for the 2026-2027 project grant cycle is anticipated to be approximately $30,000, which is a $10,000 increase over our grant for the current project year. If multiple community partners are selected, funding may be split across organizations. No more than two (2) organizations will be selected. Funding will be distributed at the discretion of the JLS.

The RFP will open on Friday, September 19, 2025, and can be found on the JLS website. Deadline to submit applications will be Friday, October 31, 2025 and should be returned to prd@jlspringfield.org.
