We are the Junior League of Springfield, MO 

Above all else, our goal is to promote and perpetuate social change in our communities. By empowering women and providing valuable leadership training, we are giving local women the tools to get involved, put their talents to work, and positively impact the communities in which they live.

The Junior League of Springfield, Missouri, Inc., is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

Membership Profile 

JLS reaches out to women of all races, religions and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and a commitment to voluntarism. Membership in the Junior League of Springfield is open to any women over the age of 21. No woman shall be excluded from membership because of race, religion, national origin, or disability. 

 

Strength in Numbers 

Established in 1959, as the Community Service League of Springfield, the Junior League of Springfield, MO (JLS) became the 231st member of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. (AJLI) in 1979. Today, JLS plays an integral part in the development, improvement, and support of the communities of southwest Missouri.

Our Local Impact

Since 1959, JLS has contributed over 1.3 million volunteer service hours and over $4.6 million to the community. On average, our members donate over 20,000 hours of volunteer service annually to the community.
