We’re Focused on What Matters Most Right Now in Southwest Missouri

The Junior League of Springfield (JLS) leverages its resources to address issues of need in our community. Historically, JLS focused on child abuse and neglect, however, JLS widened its impact in recent years to also focus on the needs of under serviced and disadvantaged women and children in our community. JLS impacts these issues through advocacy, direct service, and volunteer time. In the 2025-2026 league year, JLS will contribute volunteer hours and dollars to organizations like:

Isabel’s House – Crises Nursery of the Ozarks, Boys and Girls Club of Springfield, Drew Lewis Foundation, The Kitchen, and Ozarks Public Television. You can read about each of these projects on the Community Projects page.

We’re Creating Fulfilling Leadership Opportunities Throughout Southwest Missouri

JLS offers so much more than local volunteer opportunities. JLS is committed to training members for community leadership and all JLS members are committed to developing the leadership potential of women while building a better community. JLS members receive volunteer training, non-profit leadership training, and professional development opportunities that equip them with the tools needed to lead within our community.

We’re Transforming Southwest Missouri’s Communities By Challenging the Status Quo

Since 1959, JLS has contributed over 1.3 million volunteer service hours and over $4.6 million to the community. On average, our members donate over 20,000 hours of volunteer service annually to the community.

The Junior League of Springfield’s work centers around improving our local communities through effective action and leadership. JLS utilizes a variety of resources to identify needs in the community and collaborates with others to initiate projects that address those needs. JLS selects projects annually that leverage the impact of our trained volunteers and grant dollars to make a difference.
